Venue: Phoenix, Brighton

The Computer Arts Society was established in the UK in 1968 by George Mallen, Alan Sutcliffe and John Lansdown and pioneered the development of computer arts in the UK and worldwide.

To celebrate 50 years since the founding of the society we are touring an exhibition of artworks from artists associated with CAS over the years. The exhibition features artwork by Stephen Bell, Peter Beyls, Desmond Henry, Ernest Edmonds, Sean Clark, Paul Brown, William Latham, boredomresearch, Sue Gollifer, Stephen Scrivener, Daniel Brown, Andy Lomas and Roger Saunders. All work is part of the newly created CAS50 Collection.

For this showing of the exhibition we are also showing work by Roger Saunders, a Brighton Polytechnic student in the early 1970s who was active in the Computer Arts Society at the time.

Private view on the evening of Thursday 13th September.

Organised as part of the Brighton Digital Festival.
