Chance and Control: Art in the Age of Computers
Date: Sat, 07 Jul 2018 - Sun, 18 Nov 2018
Venue: V&A, London
Inspired by the landmark Cybernetic Serendipity exhibition of 1968 and the creation of the Computer Arts Society soon afterwards, this display celebrates 50 years and more of computer-generated art. Highlights include works by Frieder Nake, Vera Molnar, Manfred Mohr, Harold Cohen, Roman Verostko, Casey Reas and others who have used computers and systems to explore aspects of chance and control in their work, from the 1960s to the present.
